Hey! So Glad You're Here.

After dancing for 15 years, I started to notice how my mental health was being affected. At age sixteen, my friend and I talked about eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. Ballet was a challenging experience for us all, both mentally and physically. I believed I had to be perfect, even if they didn't expect it. I had to take a step back from dance, I had fallen into a cycle of anxiety, depression, and unhealthy eating habits. 

Now after taking a break, I have stepped back into the dance world with a new mindset and the availability to teach young dancers and help break the cycle! One thing that is important to focus on when it comes to dancing isn’t the perfection or even the technique, it is the way a dancer expresses. Dance is a beautiful way to navigate life and unresolved emotions can linger, so how can we best handle the emotions surrounding dance?
